MEET OUR PARTNERS

Dr. Helen Dixon, MB, BS, FRACGP, Dip RACOG
Dr Helen Dixon graduated from Monash Medical School in 1981 and has post graduate degrees – FRACGP and Diploma RACOG.
Helen is interested in all aspects of general practice and enjoys seeing a wide range of patients. She is passionate about the role of the general practitioner in the health of Tasmanians.
Helen is a GP supervisor and a past medical educator with General Practice Training Tasmania (GPTT).
Helen loves sport, especially rowing, tennis, bushwalking, skiing and golf, but has an embarrassingly high handicap at present. She also enjoys gardening and reading.

Dr. Lee Jones, MB, ChB, MRCGP, DRCOG
Dr Lee Jones has been with West Tamar Health for 30 years and enjoy all aspects of general practice. He has a broad range of experience in most areas now!
At WTH, we teach medical students and GP registrars. Out of hours he enjoys mountain biking, social soccer and futsal.
Dr Jones is happy to see new patients.

Dr. Gordon Orr, MBBS, MRCGP, FRACGP
Dr. Orr graduated from Newcastle University, United Kingdom, in 2011. He worked in England before emigrating to the great state of Tasmania in 2017.
He served 9 years in the British Army as a Royal Engineer. Once a Sapper always a Sapper.
He enjoys times with family, friends and his dogs and he wants to leave the world a better place than he found it.
Dr. Orr is happy to see new patients.

Dr. Boon Sie, BMedSci, MBBS, MHA, FRACGP, FRACMA, DRANZCOG
Dr Boon Sie graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010. He enjoys various aspects of general practice.
He is the practice supervisor for the general practice registrars. He is also a medical educator, working with General Practice Training Tasmania (GPTT).

Dr. Amanda Harman, BMedSci, MB, BS, FRACGP
Dr Amanda Harman is a UTAS graduate and has worked at Riverside since 1998.
Amanda enjoys all aspects of general practice and loves being outdoors either in the garden, walking in the bush or swimming in the ocean.

Dr. CK Khong, MB, ChB, DObst, DipTher, FRACGP
Dr Khong trained in the UK and has worked in general practice since 1992.
He has an interest in governance and medical education. Dr Khong enjoys being a resource within West Tamar Health to GP registrars in training and medical students.


Dr. Kathryn Roberts, BMedSci, MB, BS, FRACGP
Dr. Kathryn Roberts graduated from UTAS in December 1993. She then worked at the LGH prior to commencing General Practice, acquiring fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002.
She has 3 children and in her spare time loves bushwalking, bike riding and gardening.
Dr. Roberts is happy to see new patients.

Dr. Paul Scott, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr. Paul Scott was born in Launceston and graduated from the University of Tasmania. He has worked in general practice for almost 30 years.
Dr. Scott has gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He covers the whole range of general practice and has a special interest in sports medicine.
In his spare time he enjoys gardening, reading and caring for aquarium fish.
Dr. Scott is happy to see new patients.

Dr. Mia Venter, MB, ChB, FRACGP
Mia has worked in private practice in South Africa, Canada and Ireland before moving to Tasmania with her husband and twins in 2010.
She is passionate about keeping families healthy (both physically and mentally), from babies to grandparents and everyone in between.
She loves spending time with her family on beaches and bushwalks.

Dr. Madelaine Comfort, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr. Comfort is happy to see new patients.

Dr. Danielle Payne, MBBS, FRACGP, CertWH
Danielle grew up in Launceston, Tasmania before moving to Melbourne to pursue her studies, graduating from Monash University with Honours.
Since then she has been awarded the RANZCOG Certificate in Women’s Health and the FPAA National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Danielle enjoys the variety general practice brings and believes in creating a safe, non-judgemental space for all patients.
Outside of work she may be found hiking in the Tasmanian wilderness, pottering about in the garden or inside reading a good book, depending on the weather.
Dr. Payne is happy to see new patients.


Dr. Sarah Nuttall, MBBS
Dr. Nuttall joined West Tamar Health in January 2022. She graduated from University of Tasmania in 2017 and has also completed her certificate of women’s health.
She enjoys all areas of general practice, but has an interest in women’s health.
Dr. Nuttall is happy to see new patients.

MEET OUR SUPPORT STAFF

Julie Clifford, Practice Manager
Julie joined the team at West Tamar Health in 2012, working in the accounts department.
In 2020 she moved into practice management, where she enjoys the fast pace and variety the role offers. She has completed a Certificate IV in Small Business Management and Certificate III in Financial Services.
When she is not at work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and family and running/walking Maggie, her very spoilt Labradoodle.
